Why does Wedding photography cost double of event photography?
Because Event Photography is just capturing the event itself. There are no family portraits, couples portraits, wedding party portraits and there is typically only one event to capture. A wedding while being an event itself has many stages as far as the Bride/Groom getting ready for the event, first glance, the ceremony, pictures of guests, dancing, cake cutting, and the exit. If you view each of those events as their own photo shoot, you have ten events in one!
In addition the post production and editing that goes into the photos can take almost twice as long as the editing we'd be doing on other photographs. So keep in mind you are not just paying for the time your photographer is with you at the wedding, your also paying for the time they take to get the photos ready for you and all your loved ones!
